  1. An OC woman has launched an earth-conscious business during the pandemic. Colleen Henn said she has been living 'a zero-waste lifestyle' for almost a decade. The idea for her business, called All Good Goods, came out of her frustration picking up groceries during the pandemic and not being able to find staple foods without plastic wrapping. Henn's products come in mason jars or biodegradable bags, 'help fill pantries without the plastic' while shopping for things they already need. You can read the full story here: (Spectrum News 1)
  2. The First People of Orange County will be spreading a message of preservation at a free Panhe event on March 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the San Mateo Campground in San Clemente. Rebecca Robles and other members of the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians fought to save the Native American Panhe village from a proposed toll road in 2007. The original village, where the campground is now located, also included San Onofre State Beach. Panhe was Robles mother’s ancestral village, and it dates back more than 9,000 years.   3. An increase in leisure travel is keeping therapy dogs busy at John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Travel numbers are higher now than at this time before the pandemic, said Interim Airport Director Rick Francis. If you're leaving from John Wayne Airport during busy departure times, you may see one of the 16 AirPAWs therapy dogs. They are there to help reduce the stress of traveling. Kevin Marlin, the executive director of the nonprofit Orange County Animal Allies, said they noticed that during the pandemic, people that were traveling home to visit loved ones who were either ill or may have died from COVID-19, and that the pet therapy program made a difference. You may have a chance to see one of the dogs at the airport when the airport is busiest, often Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to noon. You can read the full story here: (KABC-TV)
