Here are the top stories today in Orange County:

  1. If you're upset about missing mail, you're not alone. A man was seen on video tossing mail into a dumpster in Garden Grove. Police and federal U.S. Postal Service investigators are asking for the public's help identifying a man spotted in an alley east of Main Street in downtown Garden Grove. The man was in a red sedan that pulled up to a trash container behind a row of stores and offices and dumped a large amount of mail into the dumpster on April 6 at 2:20 p.m. Mail theft is a federal crime. Officials said that people steal mail for credit cards, pay checks, or other information used in identity theft.   2. An Indio police officer struck by an Orange County driver fleeing the Coachella Music & Arts Festival was released from a hospital Sunday. The incident occurred at 10:46 p.m. Saturday at Calle Conejo and Avenue 48 when the officer, who was directing traffic, tried to stop a driver who was not following traffic guidelines. The suspect, identified as Michael Anthony Berber, 32, of Fountain Valley, was stopped and arrested in the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms. (Orange County Patch)
  3. A person was injured after a car rollover on Costa Mesa Freeway Monday morning. The crash was near the junction of the northbound State Route 55 and Chapman Avenue, backing up freeway traffic. The crash, reported at 7:43 a.m., resulted in an early morning SigAlert, authorities said. The extent of the injuries of the person in the rollover crash is not known. (Orange County Patch)
