  1. This Orange County bakery is ‘Bucket List' worthy, according to Yelp fans. The Baking Fool in Garden Grove earned fifth place on Yelp's list of the top 22 bakeries in the U.S. The list, released this month, said The Baking Fool bakery was established in 2016, and earned a "stellar five-star rating"from fans. Reviewers praised the owner, Larry, noting "his kindness" and mentioned the tasty desserts "that are a 'hit' at birthday parties, weddings and all other occasions."   2. If you need a life jacket, the O.C. Sheriffs Department will lend you one for free! Under California law, every child under 13 years old that is "on a moving recreational vessel of any length" has to wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket "that's in serviceable condition." California is known for expensive real estate—it has some of the highest priced homes in the nation, but real estate professional Stanley Bae, of Orange County, said there are a handful of cities" with surprisingly low property taxes. Alturas, in Modoc County, had the lowest property taxes in California with a population of around 10,000 people. Weaverville, in Northern California near Oregon, is a rural area of 13,000 people that also has low property taxes, Bae said.
