Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

  1. Way to go, OC firefighters! Firefighters knocked down a brush fire in less than 40 minutes to stop the forward progress of the flames along the Aliso Creek Bikeway near Alicia Parkway and Avila Road this afternoon. The call came in at 5:48 p.m. and crews rushed to the scene. Fire investigators are still on the scene to make sure the fire is out. The rapidly-spreading Coastal Fire that burned earlier in the week causing 900 Laguna Nigel residents to evacuate, and burning down 20 homes, is now 100% contained. With the extremely dry condition, firefighters wanted to make sure this fire was extinguished quickly. (Facebook)
  2. There's a new jazz musical exhibit called The Soul of Jazz coming to Downtown Disney. The new exhibit will celebrate Black history and pays tribute to the Oscar and Grammy-winning animated film “Soul.” The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure explores the legacy of jazz in New Orleans, Harlem, Kansas City and across the United States. The new exhibit will run from June 1 through July 4 at the former ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney as part of Disneyland’s continuing Celebrate Soulfully campaign. Admission is free for Downtown Disney visitors. (OC Register)
  3. SoCal travelers — the French Bee flies from LAX to Paris from $321. This friendly fare makes traveling to the price City of Lights a real possibility for many travelers. What does this reasonable fare include? The new French bee airline recently announced flights from LAX to Paris-Orly Airport, a less crowded international alternative to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, with base fares starting at $321. The least expensive ticket includes traveling off-season with no checked luggage. You will have to bring your own food and drink and skip the plane's wi-fi. If you don't mind making a few travel adjustments, your low-fare trip will have you saying, "Ooh, la la" in both languages. You can read the full story here: (Forbes)
