  1. If you or someone you know lives in Garden Grove, they are having a free bulky item drop-off day on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Elementary School, on 13451 Taft Street. The City of Garden Grove and Republic Services are hosting the community clean-up day so that residents can properly dispose of bulky and electronic items, including appliances, furniture, mattresses, televisions, printers, and computers for free. But don't bring hazardous waste, including paint and oil, or yard waste, such as grass clippings and leaves. It's self-service which means all residents will be unloading their own items. The Garden Grove Public Works Department will be onsite for elderly and disabled individuals who may need assistance. You can read more here: (OC Breeze)
  2. Nine Orange County restaurants feature live music performances as part of your dinner experience. You will find everything from Irish Acoustic music and Smooth Jazz to lively Salsa. With so many options, it may be hard to decide where to go. First on the list is Cafe Sevilla, an authentic Spanish food hot spot in Costa Mesa. They feature delicious Spanish dishes, tapas, and live music that will get you on your feet—from Latin, Salsa, and Flamenco music to Rumba, Gipsy King-style music, and more. You can find out more about Cafe Sevilla and other O.C. restaurants offering live music with dinner here: (Locale Magazine)
  3. Can you guess how many Class A office buildings are available in O.C? I was curious too. It seems that demand is so strong, there's nowhere for commercial rents to go but up, wrote Allen Buchanan in the OC Register "New Housing" opinion column on Saturday. Buchanan said they track Class A building inventory, which are buildings built after the year 2000. In Orange County, there are eight new developments proposed or under construction, totaling over 2.7 million square feet. It's a staggering number of new developments, he said, until you factor in what buildings are available today. "Ummm, that would be one," he informed us. "That’s correct! One available building." Demand is still strong, he added, so there’s nowhere for rents to go but up. You can read more here: (OC Register)
