- Jay Leno traveled from Beverly Hills to Newport Beach behind the wheel of his car, although he would have preferred to ride his motorcycle. The former Tonight Show host provided entertainment to support the Salvation Army's “Night For Others” at Balboa Bay Resort in Orange County. - At least 50 vehicles have been stolen from Spanish-speaking communities in OC. An Orange County sheriff's task force is sounding the alarm about an online scam targeting the Spanish-speaking community that has led to dozens of stolen cars since July. The thieves place an online ad in places like Facebook Marketplace asking for help to transport something in the victim's car for a large sum of money. When they meet in a public place, the thieves say they need to take the car to move forward with the job and leave the driver stranded. Sgt. Ryan Anderson of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said that approximately 50 vehicles have been taken, often from the most vulnerable people who rely on the car for their job and families.
