1. The more you do while you are driving, the less you can focus on the road, said the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Glancing down at your phone for a second to read a text "may seem harmless," but it takes the brain up to 13 seconds to completely refocus on your surroundings, the department posted on its Facebook page, adding, that the best thing to do is put your phone down and keep your eyes up when driving. 2. Orange County's Michael Lorenzen will make his Angels debut on Monday. Lorenzen said he is "excited" to play for the Angels, adding, "I’m going to have a good time, for sure.” Lorenzen, who played at Fullerton Union High and Cal State Fullerton, said watching the Angels win the 2002 World Series when he was 10 years old influenced the way he thinks the game should be played. 3. You will find Easter egg hunts, face painting, carnival games, vendor booths, bounce houses, a photo area with Peter Rabbit, and more, at the annual Memorial Care Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach Spring Carnival in Los Alamitos. The event will be on Saturday, April 16, at Little Cottonwood Park on 4000 Farquhar Ave. The event will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
