Here are the top 3 stories in Orange County today:

  1. The Silver Moon Motel, the Sandman Motel, and the Americana Motel have something in common: they were torn down for new developments, and its neon signs had been collecting dust in a city yard. The once-memorable neon signs have been rescued from an uncertain fate by the Museum of Neon Art in Glendale, where they will once again be on display. (Orange County Register via Facebook)
  2. Two Orange County schools have become education partners in Disney's free tuition education program for employees. Aspire, The Walt Disney Company’s education investment and career development program offers 100 percent paid tuition for full and part-time hourly employees for degrees from high school completion to vocational and master’s degree programs. Disney announced that California State University, Fullerton and Fullerton College will offer Disney employees "almost 70 new degree and other education programs." They join other universities, including Purdue University Global, Southern New Hampshire University, the University of Arizona, and the University of Central Florida. (The Walt Disney Company)
  3. Todd Graves, the owner of Raising Cain, a Louisiana-based chicken finger restaurant chain, announced he will buy 50,000 tickets for the $810 million Media Millions lottery. That's number is "about the number of his crew members," he said. If any of the tickets wins the jackpot, the restaurant staff "could win thousands of dollars each," according to the recent announcement. (Orange County Register via Facebook)
