- O.C. billionaires are reconfiguring their residential portfolios and you may be surprised where they are investing. Two Orange County billionaires, Sue Gross and Anthony Hsieh, have "reconfigured their residential real estate portfolios." LoanDepot founder Anthony Hsieh, who paid $61 million for a home in Newport Coast in 2020, paid $30 million for a waterfront estate on Star Island in Miami early this year, and also purchased a $19.5 million luxury condominium in Downtown Miami. Philanthropist Sue Gross, with a net worth of about $1.6 billion, is selling two of five homes she was owns in Irvine Cove. She has also listed three Beverly Hills homes for sale. (The Real Deal)
- If you want a low-cost way to beat the heat, Buena Park is offering fun swimming events. Many cities are offering recreational swimming as a fun way to beat the heat. One great spot to cool off and make a splash is Buena Park. They are hosting fun-themed Saturday swim sessions at its community pools, where you will find kids spraying soaker guns. The fun continues through Labor Day, while other cities have programs that extend into mid-August. (OCRegister)
- Police released a photo of an elderly woman who is "critically missing" in Orange County on Sunday. A 79-year-old Asian woman, who is in need of blood pressure medication, has gone missing in Brea. Authorities are asking for the public's help to help find her. Shuchih Qao does not speak English and was last seen walking a small black poodle. Police described Shuchih as a 5-foot tall Asian woman with a medium build and black hair. (Orange County Patch)
