- There's a new place to find fresh, delicious Challah bread in Irvine! Orange County is the new home of The Blessed Braid bakery, which is described as O.C.'s "only bakery that offers kosher certified products." The kosher-certified bakery is preparing delicious bakery items at the Oaks Pavilion in the Oaks Canyon office complex in the Irvine Spectrum. (Subscription/Orange County Business Journal)
- The Orange County D.A. announced charges against two men involved in an Orange County 7-Eleven and doughnut shop crime spree. The two men charged in the recent killing and crime spree across the Southland killed at least two people and injured several others. Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer announced during a Monday news conference that the crimes will all be prosecuted in Orange County. (Orange County Patch)
- Did you know that Mondays are free movie nights at the Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa? The Segerstrom Center features family-friendly summer movies every Monday on "Movie Mondays." The movie pre-show starts at 5:30 p.m. You will also find food trucks to grab a bite to eat, and the festivities begin at 8 p.m. Be sure to reserve your free movie ticket early. - "We're not lion about this reason to celebrate!" said O.C. Parks in a recent post on their website. The reason is...this week is National Zookeeper Week. A shout out to all of the compassionate, dedicated and hardworking animal keepers at the O.C. Zoo. The zookeepers of O.C.
