Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

1. An extravaganza of hands-on science, agriculture, math and arts activities to delight kids will be taking place at the O.C. Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa on April 9 and 10. Like many other activities, the extravaganza was canceled for the past two years due to the pandemic. Last year, the science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) event had a virtual-only format. This year, families and children from PreK through 12th-grade can once again enjoy hands-on science, agriculture, math and arts activities and learn more about nonprofit educational groups and organizations that will enlighten kids about aviation and railroads, zoology, music, gemology and more. 2. Here's your Easter Event Guide with everything happening for Easter in Orange County, from egg hunts and bunny brunches to Easter festivals and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny! In Anaheim from March 31 to April 15, Disneyland's Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt returns with hidden Disney-character eggs, and more. There is also a Meet & Greet with the Easter Bunny at Brewery X in Anaheim where you will also find crafts, face painting, and a photo session with the Easter Bunny, and an Easter Festival & Egg Hunt in Ronald Reagan Park featuring photos with the Easter Bunny, crafts and more. 3. Former pro-baseball player Wayne Nix from Orange County and several other people pleaded guilty after being named in a series of cases tied to an illegal gambling ring. Documents unsealed this week show that several main players in the scheme pleaded guilty to operating an illegal gambling website based in Costa Rica, with some failing to report profits from the site on their taxes. Wayne Nix, 45, of Newport Coast, a former pitcher for the Oakland A’s, began the gambling business about 20 years ago using his contacts in professional sports, according to court documents.
