- In a related story, Orange County has issued a warning concerning street vendors. According to a KCAL9 report, the Orange County Health Care Agency has issued a warning regarding street vendors, like food trucks, urging residents to look for a valid operating permit on the window of the truck before ordering food or beverages from any of these businesses. - You can get paid to give blood in Orange County this month. In an attempt to alleviate what the American Red Cross says is the worst blood shortage in more than a decade, they announced that anyone who donates blood, platelets, or plasma in February will receive a $10 Amazon gift card. "Our inventory is at crisis levels," said Raahima Shoaib Yazdani, a spokesperson for the American Red Cross' Los Angeles Region told City News Service in an earlier interview. Doctors are being forced to decide which patients will receive blood transfusions and those who have to wait. You can read more about this story here:
- The bodies of a man and woman, one in their 50s and the other in their late 70s, were found on Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point, Orange County near the Ritz Carlton around 6:50 a.m. Saturday. Sheriff Sgt. Ryan Anderson said at this point, there were no indications of foul play or suspicious circumstances. The beach was opened at noon, Anderson said, and said it appears to be an isolated incident and "there are no security concerns." The Sherrif said the causes of death could take weeks to determine.
