  1. OC's iconic piers will soon be updated, and locals couldn't be happier. The beloved piers on Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Seal Beach are waiting for city leaders' new vision for iconic landmarks. Newport Beach started tearing down its empty restaurant building at the end of the pier this week, a sign that the seaside revitalization is underway. You can read the full story here: (OC Register)
  2. A shout out to Heather Huggins, who won the women's OC Marathon Sunday with a time of 3 hours, 7 minutes and 29 seconds. J.J. Santana of Las Vegas won the men’s marathon in 2 hours, 22 minutes and 57 seconds. Runners returned to the 26-mile OC Marathon after a two-year break. Nearly 15,000 runners participated in various weekend races, organizers said. The main route started at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa Orange County Fair and the finish line was at the Event Center in Costa Mesa. (Los Angeles Times)
  3. Christina Hall of HGTV's "Christina on the Coast" who is divorced from ex-husband, Ant Anstead, known for hosting a British automotive series, sold her Dana Point Home for $11.5M after marrying realtor Josh Hall. She shared the news on Instagram Friday. A representative told PEOPLE that the HGTV star will stay in Orange County. She has a second home in Nashville.

Congratulations to surfer Peter Mel, surfer and adventurer Martin Daly, and The Sugar Shack Café owner Michele Turner, who will be taking their places among nearly 90 surfers and supporters of the surfing community in the Surfers' Hall of Fame at Huntington Beach. Hall of fame founder Aaron Pai said that this year's honorees "have contributed so much" to riding waves and supporting the surfing community. (OC Register)
