  1. An unexpected heatwave is expected to bring sizzling temperatures to Orange County. Temperatures are expected to reach 100 degrees in inland OC on Friday. The major April heatwave comes a little over a week after a storm brought snow to local mountains and cold temperatures with heavy rain across Orange County. The heatwave is 15 to 20 degrees above normal and is "not very typical for the first week of April," National Weather Service meteorologist David Sweet told the Los Angeles Times.   2. The Habit Grill is opening a new location in OC this week. The Habit Grill is a fast-casual restaurant that specializes in charbroiled hamburgers and other fast-casual fares. The company that started in Santa Barbara in 1969 said they bring "the spirit of Santa Barbara" wherever they go, "including Orange County!"   3. The Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) raised $317,277 from 623 donors on March 24 to support a stronger OC workforce. The Future is Working collaborative online Giving Day will support 15 nonprofits that make it easier for vulnerable communities to find employment, create pathways to success, and build a flexible and resilient workforce. Orange County is investing in "a thriving Orange County for all,” said Shelley Hoss, president and CEO of the Orange County Community Foundation.
