Woman Kills Man, Stabs Another In OC Gang-Related Attack: Police
A woman fatally shot a man and stabbed another in a gang-related attack over the weekend, police said.
ANAHEIM, CA — A 24-year-old woman accused of fatally shooting one man and stabbing another in a gang-related attack was arrested over the weekend, according to police.
Officers responded to the 800 block of West Cottonwood Circle in Anaheim at around 2:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting. Prior to officers' arrival, witnesses transported two victims to a local hospital, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
Jose Andres Abrego, 30, who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at a hospital. The second victim, an unidentified man, was stabbed at least one time and was expected to survive his injuries, police said.

The suspect, Jannett Cureno, fled the scene before officers' arrived. Police located her and arrested her Saturday at around 1 p.m. in Santa Ana on the 300 block of Newhope Street, police said.
Cureno was booked into the Anaheim Detention Facility and was being held in lieu of $1 million bail, police said.
