Officials Say Avoid Half Moon Bay Trail After Mountain Lions Seen
The two sibling cubs were seen near downtown Half Moon Bay on Sunday, and then were spotted Monday on the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail.
SAN MATEO COUNTY -- Two mountain lion cubs were spotted Monday on the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail between Poplar Beach and the Ritz Carlton hotel in Half Moon Bay, mere hours after two cubs were seen walking past downtown Half Moon Bay.
More specific information on where along the trail they were see was not revealed, and state Department of Fish and Wildlife officials asked the public to stay away from the trail for the immediate future.

Monday's sighting along the trail follows Sunday night's sighting of two young mountain lions near downtown Half Moon Bay. There was no official statement as to whether Sunday night's pair may have been the same two spotted Monday on the trail.
