Pacifica Cop Nabs Alleged Burglar
Police said the suspect was caught in the act after attempting to force his way inside multiple closed businesses.

PACIFICA, CA — An officer patrolling Pacifica's business district Saturday night caught an alleged burglar in the act, according to police.
The Pacifica Police Department said the officer was working along Palmetto Avenue when we saw a man using a metal post to attempt to break into a closed business. According to police, the officer took the man into custody and learned he had targeted two other businesses in the area, trying to gain access through a storefront window and a glass door.
Investigators said the man was carrying common burglary tools and admitted to searching for valuables to steal and fence on the market. The man was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted burglary, vandalism, possession of burglary tools, and an outstanding bench warrant.
