SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Peninsula Clean Energy, the energy provider for San Mateo County, is launching a new platform for customers to access their energy data.

The new platform, called Data Connect, includes information regarding energy use and billing for both Peninsula Clean Energy and PG&E.

Brain P. Henry, the assistant public works director for Menlo Park, called the site a “game changer for energy monitoring and verification in our city and has given us an entirely new level of clarity about our energy use and the associated costs.”

Henry said Data Connect automates a historical data import process that would take hundreds of hours manually.

“With Data Connect, we are providing our large commercial customers a full, easy and secure view of their total energy use, allowing them to make timely and thorough data-driven business decisions,” said Sapna Dixit, Strategic Accounts Manager who oversees the program at Peninsula Clean Energy.
