PSD 2023-2024 Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Enrollment

Kindergarten

If you have a child who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2023, your child is eligible to attend kindergarten in fall 2023.

Transitional Kindergarten

If your child’s 5th birthday falls between September 2, 2023, and April 2, 2024, your child qualifies for the transitional kindergarten (TK) program offered at Ortega and Sunset Ridge Schools in fall 2023.

Kindergarten and TK Lottery Packets are available at our TK-5 schools (Ortega and Sunset Ridge) and our K-8 schools (Cabrillo, Ocean Shore and Vallemar), as well as the Pacifica School District Office located at 375 Reina Del Mar Avenue. Parents are encouraged to attend in-person tours to get a better understanding of each school’s program. Tours are recommended, but not mandatory. Our tour schedule is available on our district’s website at www.pacificasd.org. Please contact each school directly to sign-up for a tour.

If the number of applications exceeds the number of spaces available for any given site, a lottery for the available spaces for that site will be held. If a drawing is necessary, it will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Pacifica School District. Lottery results will be posted near the front entrance of the District Office by 6 pm on February 17, 2023.
