Stolen SUV Recovered, Driver Arrested In Pacifica: Police

Officers found a Porsche Macan with stolen plates and discovered the driver was carrying drugs, police said.

PACIFICA, CA — Pacifica officers found a stolen SUV while investigating reports of a suspicious vehicle Monday morning, according to police.

Investigators spotted a Porsche Macan parked near Alisal Court and Timberhill Street a few minutes after 7:30 a.m. Police said a check of the vehicle's plates showed the vehicle was listed as stolen from Vallejo.

Officers initiated a high-risk traffic stop and arrested the driver without incident.

Police identified the driver as Tawny Bruner, 35, of Vallejo. Officers allege Bruner had suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the stolen vehicle and booked the suspect into jail on suspicion of multiple charges, including vehicle theft and possession of a controlled substance.
