2 Hikers Rescued By Helicopter In Pacific Palisades

Two hikers in distress Saturday were rescued by a helicopter and lifted to safety, authorities said.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Firefighters used a helicopter to lift two hikers to safety in the Pacific Palisades, authorities said.

It was reported at 9:39 p.m. near 2200 Sullivan Fire Road, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

The hikers were not injured but in distress, Stewart said.

They were hoisted to a safe area so that ground crews could help them get back to their vehicle, she said.
