Body Of Young Woman Found In Topanga State Park Identified

Authorities are trying to figure out what killed a 24-year-old woman whose body was found in the bushes at Topanga State Park.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Authorities Thursday identified a woman whose body was found near a hiking trail in Topanga State Park.

Police were called to 20800 block of West Entrada Road about 4 p.m. Monday by a hiker who spotted the body, according to Officer Mike Lopez with the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations office.

The woman was identified as Maggie Dykshorn, 24, of Los Angeles, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter. An autopsy was pending to determine her cause of death, Winter said.

"There appears to be no foul play, no trauma to the body, but the death investigation is still ongoing," LAPD Lt. John Radke told ABC7.
