Candidates For Palisades Community Council Area Representatives

12 people will run for Area and At-large Representative positions on the Pacific Palisades Community Council. Five people are running uncontested, while Area 8 is currently vacant as no applications were received by the deadline.

The list of candidates are as follows:

Area 1 – Joanna Spak

Area 2 – Steve Cron

Area 3 – Haldis Toppel

Area 4 – Michael Minky, Karen Ridgley

Area 5 – Sue Kohl

Area 6 – Matthew Quiat, Jason Sklar, Karyn Weber

Area 7 – Jenny Li, Rick McGeagh

Area 8 – None*

At-large – Alan Goldsmith

Joanna Spak, Steve Cron, Haldis Toppel, Sue Kohl and Alan Goldsmith are incumbents running for re-election.

Candidates are free to campaign throughout the Palisades as they look to spread the word about their platform. A public forum Q&A with the candidates will be held on August 27, and online voting will be open from September 4-18.

Election results will be announced on September 24, at the scheduled PPCC meeting. Representatives will begin their two year terms on October 1.
