Family Searches For Missing Brentwood Son Last Seen At Castaic
Dane Elkins was last seen on December 20. His family says he suffers from mental illness and needs urgent care.

BRENTWOOD, CA — The family of Dane Elkins has started a search effort for their son, who has been missing since December 20. His family says he suffers from mental illness, and is in need of urgent care.
Dane's car was discovered near Templin Highway and the 5 Freeway in Castaic, with his wallet and keys inside. There have been reported sightings of him in the Valley area as well, possibly near Reseda Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard..
Dane Elkins is 21 years old with green eyes and brown hair, standing 5'11" and weighing 170 pounds. The family also started a Facebook group to coordinate the search and help share new details.
