Heal the Bay Clean-up Celebrates Nelson Mandela
The monthly "Nothing But Sand" is the morning of July 20 at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades.

"Nothin' But Sand," the monthly clean-up by environmental non-profit Heal the Bay, holds its latest cleanup Saturday morning to honor South African leader Nelson Mandela as part of an international celebration for his 95th birthday.
The clean-up is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades.
Volunteers must be 13 years old or be accompanied by an adult. Bags and gloves will be provided. However, to help cut down on the number of supplies used for Heal the Bay cleanups, they ask to bring your own reusable garden gloves and bucket or reuse a bag from home.
There are still more than 100 spots remaining. For more information, visit the event posting at Heal the Bay's website.
