Hiker Rescued From Santa Ynez Trail After Falling Into Ravine

LAFD says the women fell about 20 feet and had to be hoisted out with a helicopter.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A woman fell into a 20-foot ravine near Santa Ynez Canyon Trail over the weekend, igniting a rescue operation by the Los Angeles Fire Department. According to LAFD, the call for the injured hiker came in around 4:43 p.m Sunday afternoon.

A rescue crew arrived on scene shortly after and hoisted the woman into a helicopter. The woman was reportedly in fair condition and received in-flight treatment before being taken to a nearby hospital.
