LA County Mom Owns Massive Weed 'Fortress': Police
Police said a Pacific Palisades woman owns a farm where 35,000 marijuana plants were seized this week.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA -- Police said a Los Angeles County woman owns a San Bernardino farm where 35,000 marijuana plants were seized this week. Eight people were detained at the Inland Empire farm reportedly owned by Pacific Palisades resident Stephanie Smith, 43, police said.
San Bernardino police released Smith's photo but said she has not been arrested or charged. Police said the farm is being investigated.
The farm was located inside a four-story warehouse where the electric bill topped $67,000. It was complete with "fortified doors" and surveillance cameras, police said.

The marijuana plants and people were detained during a raid by local and federal authorities, police said.
CBS LA reported that Smith is a mother in the prominent Los Angeles County city.

"Smith was making millions of dollars per month running the operation, sources said," the news station reported.
