Will Rogers-Santa Monica Bike Trail Gets Major Upgrade
Pedestrians and cyclists now have their own lanes for the entirety of the 22-mile trail, which runs from the Palisades to Torrance Beach.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Good news, cyclists and pedestrians — improvements to the Marvin Braude Bike Trail are now complete, making the 22-mile coastal trek between Will Rogers State Beach and Torrance safer and easier.
Los Angeles County officials last week unveiled improvements to a 0.6 mile stretch of the trail between Santa Monica and Will Rogers. That portion of the route was narrow, poorly lit and was shared between pedestrians and cyclists.
Now, the entirety of the route includes dedicated pedestrian and bike lanes, extending from the Palisades, through Santa Monica and Marina del Rey, along the South Bay's Strand and ending at Torrance Beach.

"There's nothing like a stroll or bike ride along the beach, and now it's safer," county Supervisor Lindsey Horvath said in a social media video.
