US Open Will Return To Los Angeles — This Time At The Palisades' Riviera Country Club
The Riviera Country Club last hosted the U.S. Open in 1948.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — On the heels of the U.S. Open's return to Los Angeles earlier this month, the United States Golf Association on Wednesday announced that the city will host the 2031 tournament at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades.
Built in 1927, the Riviera Country Club last hosted the Open in 1948, when Ben Hogan took the top spot after shooting eight under par. It held the Open record for nearly two decades and helped the course earn its nickname "Hogan's Alley," KTLA reported.
The course is also home to Tiger Woods' annual Genesis Invitational in February.

“Riviera Country Club is a truly spectacular course that holds a special place in the game’s history,” USGA chief championships officer John Bodenhamer said in a release. “We are thrilled to bring the U.S. Open back to the site of such historic moments for golf and the USGA and look forward to writing a new chapter in 2031.”
The 123rd U.S. Open returned to LA for the first time in 75 years earlier this month when it was played at the Los Angeles Country Club, where Wyndham Clark claimed victory.
