Pali High's Marissa Williams Breaks City Section Track and Field Records

The sophomore's time set in the 3,200-meter race is 10 seconds better than the previous record.

Palisades Charter High School sophomore Marissa Williams shattered two longstanding distance running records in the City Section track and field finals on May 22 at Birmingham High School, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Her feat helped the girls team win the state championship.

Williams broke records in the 1,500- and 3,200-meter races at 4:56.60 and 10:37.33, respectively.
