Pali Police Blotter: Death Threat, Assault with Knife

Man arrested for issuing death threat

A 45-year-old man was arrested at 2:45 p.m., July 25 in the 17300 block of Sunset Boulevard. He was arrested for threatening to kill someone, according to Los Angeles police.

Man ID'd in knife assault

At 3:35 p.m. July 25 in the 17300 block of Sunset Boulevard, a man grabbed a woman and held a knife to her neck. As the woman broke free the suspect cut her arm with the knife. Police describe the suspect as a white man, between 5'7'' and 5'8'' and between 120 and 130 pounds and approximately 50 years of age.

Vehicle burglaries
  • Between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. July 22 in the 200 block of Amalfi Drive, a suspect smashed a window on a vehicle and took jewelry.
  • Between 12 and 1:30 p.m. July 19 between Entrada Drive and Adelaide Place, a suspect forced open a window to a vehicle and took a purse and check book.
  • Between 4 p.m. July 22 and 8:40 p.m. July 23 in the 16300 block of Pacific Coast Highway, a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and took the vehicle's title and a blue tooth device.
  • Between 5:30 p.m. July 23 and 8:15 a.m. July 24 in the 16700 block of Marquez Terrace, a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and took money, sunglasses and compact discs.
  • Between 8:30 and 11 a.m. July 28 at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Los Liones Drive, a suspect smashed the window to a vehicle and took a wallet, money and credit card.
  • Between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. July 27 at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Temescal Canyon Road, a suspect smashed the window to a vehicle and took a wallet and credit cards. 
  • Between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. July 27 at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Temescal Canyon Road, a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and took a tablet, knife and make-up case.
Bike Theft

Between 7:30 a.m. July 21 and 7:30 p.m. July 23 in the 16100 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect took bicycles from a multi-unit garage.

Vandalism
  • Between 11:30 p.m. June 27 and 11 a.m. June 28 in the 16100 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect cut the ignition wires and brake line to a motorcycle.
  • Between 12:30 a.m. July 18 and 11:55 p.m. July 19 in the 16100 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect scratched the front bumper of another vehicle.
  • Between 5 p.m. July 26 and 7 a.m. July 29 200 block of Arno Way, a suspect smashed a window to a home under construction.
