Palisades Community Council Seeks Volunteer Citizen Award Nominations

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — The Pacific Palisades Community Council is seeking nominations for its Citizen of the Year, Golden Sparkplug and Pride of the Palisades awards.

Nominations are due Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m. The Awards Selection Committee will meet to select honorees, who will be announced on Nov. 9 and honored at the annual Community Council Holiday Dinner and Awards Gala on Dec. 14.

The Citizen of the Year Award honors someone whose contribution to the Palisades have "been both a recent effort resulting in a substantial benefit to the community, and a steady, reliable long-term history of service to the Palisades," according to organizers.

The Golden Sparkplug Award honors "those who have an idea and effort resulting in an original contribution to Pacific Palisades that benefits the community," organizers said.
