Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: "Griffin is a very focused young man and wants to not only do well in school but be successful in his swimming," wrote his mom Kelly.
Patch caught up with Griffin and asked him four questions:
Patch: What's your favorite video game?
Griffin Koffman: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Patch: Favorite artist?
Griffin: Bruno Mars
Patch: Do you have a message for your friends who are going to see this online?
Griffin: Always do your best.
Patch: And what do you have to say to the wider community?
Griffin: First of all, pick up your trash. That bothers me. And I'm concerned about safety, . I saw some kids almost get hit today trying not to be late for school.
