Poor Pooch! Burglar Assaults Dog With a Brick in Pacific Palisades Home
POLICE BLOTTER: Also, six other burglaries involving taking of jewelry or tools occurred place between Sept. 3 and Sept. 28

At approximately 2 p.m. Monday Sept. 22, a burglar tried to enter a home on 300 E. Rustic. He came into the house through the dog door, which was unlocked. When approached by the dog, the burglar struck the dog with a brick and continued into the house to take jewelry, silverware and a gun.
Six burglaries took place between Sept. 3 and 28. Burglars mostly had their eyes on the prize, taking jewelry in four out of the six incidents. Here are some of them:

Between 7 p.m. and 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 24, one man took a purse from a car on 15900 Temecula St. On 1000 Kagawa St., allegedly a caretaker stole on several occasions between Sept. 3 and 28.
With either a rock or a BB gun—police are unsure, a man broke a window of a home on Rivas Canyon Road sometime on either Sept. 22 or Sept. 23.

At 12:40 p.m., a 19-year-old man was investigated following a car crash on Monte Grande Place and Palisades Drive. Police found cocaine in the man’s possession during the search. He was later arrested.
