Rain-Soaked Hiker Rescued From Remote Trail After Nightfall: LAFD
A man was rescued by helicopter after he became stranded on a cold, wet trail in Topanga State Park Sunday, the LAFD said.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A rain-soaked hiker was hoisted by helicopter off a remote hiking trail in the Santa Monica Mountains after nightfall Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The adult male hiker sought help after he became stranded in darkness on remote section of Temescal Ridge Trail south of Skull Rock in Topanga State Park at around 8 p.m., according to the LAFD.
The rescue came as a rainstorm had barreled down on the region over the weekend.

An LAFD rescue helicopter found the man and lowered a flight paramedic to perform a medical assessment, though the hiker told rescuers he was uninjured, the LAFD said.
