Riviera Country Club Hosts Emmys Golf Classic

Despite the rain, Pacific Palisades still hosted the annual fundraiser for the Television Academy Foundation.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Scores of celebrities braved rain and wind to attend the Emmys Golf Classic at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades.

The 21st annual tournament was moved up in the afternoon to accommodate the weather, an organizer told Patch. Patch has reached out to the event spokespeople for more information on how Monday's inclement weather affected the event.

The Emmys Golf Classic is held each year to benefit the Television Academy Foundation, an organization that provides education programming and mentorship for new talent in the television industry.

The Foundation has “nurtured thousands of talented students, providing essential resources that help them discover their voices, refine their skills and forge rewarding careers in every sector of the television industry,” according to the event website.

The event was hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, and featured pro-golfer Amy Alcott; ``Bosch'' actor Yancey Arias; ``Better Call Saul'' actor Jonathan Banks; ``Lucifer'' actor Dennis Haysbert; former NBA player NormNixon; and more.
