CATHEDRAL CITY, CA — Two people were killed on Thursday after a semi truck crashed into multiple vehicles on Interstate 10 in Cathedral City, authorities said.
A truck tractor-trailer combination vehicle was traveling westbound on I-10, east of Date Palm Drive, when, for reasons still under investigation, the truck veered into eastbound lanes around 6:40 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres told Patch.
As the semi moved into the eastbound lanes, it crashed into multiple vehicles, Torres said, adding that the CHP is still investigating how many cars were involved.
