2 People Seriously Hurt In Palm Desert Crash

PALM DESERT, CA — A multi-vehicle crash Tuesday in Palm Desert left two people with serious injuries and forced a closure of Monterey Avenue, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The crash was reported at 2 p.m. in the 43000 block of Monterey Avenue.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found two people trapped in the wreckage, according to the fire department.

"Both patients were quickly extricated and transported to an area hospital with serious injuries," the agency said.
Monterey Avenue was closed in both directions between Parkview Drive and Gran Via due to the crash investigation.
