Alleged Drugged Man Drove Onto Palm Desert Golf Course: Cops

Marcos Rangel, 36, of Indio, was booked into Riverside County Jail.

PALM DESERT, CA -- An alleged drugged driver was arrested Friday night after driving onto a Palm Desert golf course. Police said officers responded to a report of a traffic crash at 10:20 p.m. near Cottage Lane, east of the Golf Course Lane.

Arriving officers found a car, driven by Marcos Rangel, 36, of Indio, driving along the eastern portion of the Iron Wood Golf Course before he became stuck on a retaining wall, police said.

Rangel was booked into Riverside County Jail after officers found him to be driving under the influence of drugs, police said.
