Fan Favorite Andy Roddick Survives at Indian Wells

Roddick won a second set tiebreak, then cruised in the final set for a 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 victory.

A packed center court crowd got more and more boisterous cheering on fan favorite Andy Roddick as he made a comeback in second round action Saturday.

"I don't feel like I've stolen a match in a while, and I did today," Roddick said.

Roddick won a second set tiebreak, then cruised in the final set for a 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 victory.

He will face No. 7 Tomas Berdych in the next round. 

"(Berdych) is the better player at the moment," Roddick said, adding that he will try to stop the hard-serving Czech from getting into a rhythm.
