As Coachella And Stagecoach Music Fests Near, Road Closures Begin
The Coachella music fest runs April 11-13 and April 18-20; Stagecoach takes place April 25-27. The Empire Polo Club in Indio hosts both.
COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — Road closures have begun in the desert in preparation for the upcoming Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals.
A portion of Avenue 50 in Indio was shut down Monday for six weeks. The closure between Madison and Monroe streets is expected to last through May 4.
A similar stretch of the same road was restricted around this time in previous years to allow infrastructure to be set up and taken down for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts and Stagecoach festivals.

Additional road closures and access routes in the city of Indio are expected to be announced soon.
