Deadly House Fire Ignites In Palm Desert
One person died and another was seriously injured in the single-story house fire on Tamarisk Flower Drive, in Palm Desert.

PALM DESERT, CA — One person died and another was in serious condition after a fire at a single-family residence in Palm Desert early Friday.
Shortly before 1:15 a.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department firefighters were called to the 78800 block of Tamarisk Flower Drive. Arriving fire crews found a single-story structure with heavy fire showing at the front of the residence.
One person was found deceased at the scene, and a second victim was taken to a hospital with severe injuries.

The fire department said that two victims were rescued from the residence by firefighters, the first victim taken by ambulance to an area hospital in serious condition. The second patient succumbed to their injuries and was declared deceased at the scene, they said.
The victim's name was withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
