Driver Arrested In Bicycle Injury Hit-And-Run Was Driving Intoxicated, Police Say
A Palm Springs driver who struck and injured a bicyclist over the weekend was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — A driver has been arrested for the hit-and-run of a bicyclist in Palm Springs, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported about 7:13 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Avenida Caballeros and Vista Chino, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
Officers found an adult male bicyclist with moderate injuries, who was taken to a hospital, police said.

Andre Colucci, 62, of Palm Springs, was later identified as the suspect and arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury and DUI causing injury, according to police.
He was booked at the Benoit Detention Center in Indio with bail set at $30,000.
