Federer Avenges Australian Open Loss
World No. 2 Roger Federer got redemption for his only loss of the 2015 tennis season in Indian Wells.

Roger Federer avenged his only loss of the season on Tuesday at the BNP Paribas Open defeating Andres Seppi 6-3, 6-4.
“It absolutely was an opportunity right away to play him again and sort of erase it to some extent from the memory as the season moves forward,” Federer said.
Seppi pulled one of the upsets of the year in January beating Federer in four sets in the third round of the Australian Open.

The World No. 2 advanced to the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open, where he will face a surprising opponent, American Jack Sock.
“I know him off the court because we always chat in the locker room and we crack jokes and stuff,” Federer said of Sock.

The 22-year-old won his third three-set match of Indian Wells knocking out 15 seed Roberto Bautista Agut.
“I haven’t played one of those, as some people say, those top 4 guys,” Sock said. “I haven’t been able to play one in a match. Yeah, I look forward to it, and especially here in the States it would be fun.”
Indian Wells is Sock’s first tournament of the season, as he returns to the court after undergoing surgery in late 2014.
