Firefighters Rescue Puppy While Battling Residential Fire In Palm Springs
A puppy was rescued from the second floor of a multi-family dwelling, but no injuries were reported, officials said.

PALM SPRING, CA — Firefighters extinguished a fire and rescued a puppy on the second floor of a multi-family dwelling in Palm Springs Saturday.
The fire was reported around 8:25 a.m. Saturday at a residential complex at 3589 McCarthy Rd., where firefighters found a single unit on the second floor of the building on fire, according to the Palm Springs Fire Department.
Responding personnel initiated suppression efforts after locating the fire in a small room of the unit. The fire was extinguished by 8:35 a.m. with the use of the building's sprinklers and firefighter efforts.

A puppy was rescued from the affected unit, but no injuries were reported, officials said.
Two additional units in the building sustained water damage, according to the fire department.
