PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Friends of the Palm Springs Library will host its annual book and media sale this weekend in an effort to sell as many items as possible to prepare for an upcoming renovation on the library.
The sale will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the JC Frey building, located across the parking lot from the main library, 300 South Sunrise Way. The first day will be open to members only, while the following two days will open to the public.
"People look forward to our annual sale each year," Friends President Nanci Morrison said in a statement. "It gives us an opportunity to clear out our inventory and offer items at great prices."

Attendees can get deals on gently used best-sellers, CDs, DVDs and various types of books, according to the organization. On Sunday, offers of filling a bag for $5 or a box for $10 will be available.
The sale will help raise funds for the library. The Friends organization advocates for funding, raises awareness about the library and supports programs to encourage reading, culture and the arts.
