'Get it Write' with Coachella Valley Women's Business Center Dec. 3

The Coachella Valley Women's Business Center in Palm Desert is planning a Business Writing for Professionals workshop in December.

The workshop is called "Getting it 'Write'" and it is scheduled 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 3 at the CVWBC office, 77-806 Flora Road, Suite A, off Washington Street and the 10 Freeway.

Cost for the workshop is $20 with online registration (www.cvwbc.org) or $25 at the door.

Here's more from workshop organizers:

The workshop will cover the ways in which business writing is different from other forms of writing; what is said in a business document impacts both you and your company. Moreover, it can make the difference between landing a client or losing one, delegating effectively or ending up with more work, and establishing positive relationships or ending up with broken relationships. This workshop will provide practical advice that you can apply today and every day.

Instructor for the series is Anita Rufus, J.D., credentialed mediator, business management consultant, and radio talk show host. Ms. Rufus is an instructor and seminar leader of adult education programs (emphasizing English and Business Writing), a guest lecturer, public speaker and writer of editorial columns in such periodicals as the New York Times, USA Today, Elle Magazine, ABA Student Lawyer Magazine, and many others.

For more info or to register for the workshop, call Kim Scanlan at (760) 345-9200. To register online, visit the CVWBC website at www.cvwbc.org.
