John Elway's Agent Dies After Falling From Golf Cart Driven By Elway: Report
The longtime friends and business partners were in a golf cart driven by John Elway on Saturday, according to reports.

LA QUINTA, CA — Jeff Sperbeck, agent, friend, and business partner of former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway, died Wednesday after a golf cart incident in La Quinta, the Riverside County Coroner's Bureau has confirmed.
Sperbeck, a 62-year-old resident of San Clemente died shortly after 1 a.m. at the Palm Springs Desert Regional Medical Center, according to the coroner's report. He was allegedly riding on a golf cart believed to have been driven by John Elway at the time of the incident, which happened over the weekend, according to TMZ.
On Saturday, shortly after 7 p.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department was called to The Madison Golf Club, at the 53200 block of Humboldt Boulevard. Firefighters arrived to find a man had fallen from a golf cart, according to department spokesperson Maggie Cline De La Rosa.

"When the engine arrived on scene, it was noted that he had suffered serious injuries and was transported to the trauma center," she told Patch.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident that occurred inside the Madison Golf Club, having learned of the severity on Monday, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers.

"At this time, the investigation is ongoing, and no details are available," she said.
A witness, Ali Simon, shared on KESQ that she saw Sperbeck lying on the ground in front of a home moments after the incident occurred. She was driving out of the community when she saw the people surrounding the collapsed man, before emergency responders arrived.
"It was so sad, and our hearts just go out to the families," she said. "It was nothing like we've ever seen. His wife was hysterical. As we were leaving, the ambulance was coming in. John Elway was calling 911, calling anyone."
