'Mean Girls' Opens In Palm Desert
The Broadway comedy is a collaboration that includes writing from Emmy Award winner Tina Fey.

PALM DESERT, CA — A North American tour of the musical comedy "Mean Girls," adapted from the Paramount Pictures film, will stop at Palm Desert for five shows starting Friday.
The shows will take place Friday to Sunday in the McCallum Theatre, 73000 Fred Waring Drive, according to theatre officials. Tickets, starting at $145, can be purchased at the theater's box office and online at mccallumtheatre.org.
The comedy, which opened on Broadway in April 2018, is a collaboration from Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, with music by Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin and original direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw.

The musical follows a teenage girl who grew up in the African savanna and has to face the "wild and vicious" ways of her new home, suburban Illinois, where she has to take on a trio of "frenemies."
