Motown Legend Smokey Robinson To Perform In Riverside County

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — Motown icon Smokey Robinson has announced a concert performance in Riverside County.

The 85-year-old legend is scheduled to take the stage at The Show at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage at 8 p.m. Feb. 21.

The date falls two days after the singer's 86th birthday.

Tickets went on sale Oct. 3 at aguacalientecasinos.com. Price range is $84.95 to $229.95.

Celebrated for his smooth tenor voice and timeless hits including “Cruisin’,” “Tracks of My Tears,” and “Being With You,” Robinson is set to deliver an evening of soulful classics and beloved favorites.

Robinson has left an indelible mark on generations of fans. Born in Detroit in 1940, he rose to fame as the frontman of The Miracles, recording enduring hits such as “Shop Around,” “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” and “The Tracks of My Tears.”

Beyond his own success, Robinson penned and produced countless hits for fellow Motown stars, including The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Mary Wells.

Over the course of his 70-year career, Robinson has been honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

Robinson remains one of music’s most treasured voices.
